The generous team at Cintra decided to boost the fundraising efforts of local charity St Oswald’s Hospice as their focus for National Payroll Week.
St Oswald’s Hospice, based in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne provides specialist care for North East adults, young people and children with life limiting conditions. The hospice has been encouraging companies to ‘bag it up’ in support of the hospice: to ask staff to fill charity bags and the hospice collects them on a nominated day. Cintra staff welcomed the opportunity to help out and the bags flooded in during National Payroll Week! Many staff making the effort to carry the bags some considerable distance on public transport and on foot to make sure that the initiative was well supported.
Andrew Moir, Retail Services Manager at St Oswald’s was bowled over by their efforts: “We’re delighted that Cintra chose to support us as their focus for National Payroll Week. Their collective efforts have been immense and are very much appreciated. It’s only through the support of organisations like Cintra that St Oswald’s is able to continue to provide our specialist services to families from across the region.”
Carsten Staehr, CEO of Cintra HR & Payroll said: “National Payroll Week is an important landmark in the payroll calendar. As an organisation at the forefront of driving payroll solutions forward we were delighted to support a charity driving forward the care of those with life limiting conditions in the North East. The tremendous work of the hospice is humbling and we are proud to support them”.
