Cintra HR & Payroll Services embraced National Payroll Week by holding a “Bake A Cake” day on Thursday 9th September.
National Payroll Week took place from the 6th until the 10th September with the theme this year being ‘Proud to be Payroll’. The IPP (Institute of Payroll Professionals) promotes a week of fun and professional events designed to raise the profile of the industry and herald the unsung heroes in it, who work tirelessly to ensure that each and every one of us gets paid the right amount and on time.
Employees wishing to scoff one of the beautifully baked cakes, pies or quiches were requested to make a donation to Cintra’s nominated charity, Coco. By the end of the day everyone was a few pounds heavier and a few £s lighter but managed to raise over £100 for Coco which was doubled by Cintra HR & Payroll Services.
Cintra have been actively promoting National Payroll Week by displaying posters, balloons and other promotional items on notice boards throughout the company all week. All in all the day was a huge success. Julie Purdy, Receptionist at Cintra, commented on the event “compared to previous years there seemed to be more awareness and more people willing to get involved this year, also the food was delicious, it was great!”
