National Payroll Week is taking place from the 6th until the 10th September; the theme this year is ‘Proud to be Payroll’. The IPP (Institute of Payroll Professionals) promotes a week of fun and professional events designed to raise the profile of the industry and herald the unsung heroes in it, who work tirelessly to ensure that each and every one of us gets paid the right amount and on time.
NPW recognises the hard work, effort and invaluable contributions payroll staff do on a day-to-day basis. The week acknowledges and celebrates the many abilities of payroll staff, who ensure millions of people are paid the right amount at the right time, every pay period.
Cintra are proud to be part of National Payroll Week, as we are very proud of what we do and achieve as a company.
Cintra will undertake various activities throughout the week in aid of The Charity COCO, with one of the highlights being a dedicated baking day. Cintra employees can bake anything they want, from cakes to pastries, bread to pies, with the only catch being it must be home made.
COCO was set up in August 2000 and since then they have helped to fund projects in Bosnia, Malawi, Romania, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia and Thailand. COCO keeps children happy and healthy by concentrating on education and health initiatives. They work on small projects that make a big difference to the lives of children living in poverty throughout the developing world.
Thanks to their supporters, they are able to help these children so they can escape from the poverty trap that their parents have lived and died though, and so that their futures are much brighter.
