As many of you will already be aware, over the years Cintra have supported various national and regional charities, including the RNLI, Motability, COCO and the Sunshine Fund.

So it is with particular pleasure that we are pleased and proud to announce our participation in the first of this year’s planned fundraising events – the Coast to Coast cycle race from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth on the North East Coast.

For this event we will be raising funds for COCO, the charity which supports sick and underprivileged children overseas, particularly those whose lives have been blighted by war, famine, plague and other natural disasters.

Over 2 days, Cintra will be competing against teams and riders from Eversheds, Dickinson Dees, KPMG, Barclays, Watson Burton and the English Institute of Sport, in a bid to beat COCO Founder Steve Cram and fellow Olympian Alison Curbishley, who have already raised almost £15,000 towards a Vocational Training Centre for children in Tanzania.

The Coast to Coast Route sees the riders tackling around 134 miles of some of the North of England’s most gruelling roads and tracks, including the wilting and energy sapping climb up to the 1900 foot summit of the fearsome Hartside Pass.

This event is not for the faint hearted or weak of will and I’m sure our intrepid 3-man team would welcome any contributions from you our customers to help them achieve their goal of raising £2,500 in aid of this worthy cause.

As an additional incentive, Cintra will be offering 6 bottles of wine to the highest sponsor contribution as a gesture of thanks.
