Renowned for its culture of care, staff at Cintra HR and Payroll Services have gone all out to help the Salvation Army ensure that families of the North East have a Merry Christmas.

Spearheaded by Bureau Team Leader, Zijad Jasarevic, staff at Cintra worked with the Salvation Army to give eight local families a festive treat.  Although fundraising at Christmas can be an uphill struggle, as there are so many worth causes to support, Zee knew he could rely on the support of his caring colleagues to bring Christmas cheer to those in need.

Zee is all too aware of the great work and generosity of charities such as the Red Cross, having arrived in the region fifteen years ago with nothing more than the clothes on his back.  Since then he has made it his mission to give help to those in need, supporting a variety of charities every year.  In addition to his fundraising for the Salvation Army, this year alone Zee has also supported CoCo, the Red Cross, the Sunshine Fund, St. Oswald’s Hospice and charities which help the homeless and those at risk of suicide.

The fundraising started earlier this month with Zee ‘fining’ bureau staff 20p if they arrived late for work!  Cintra staff were only too willing to top up the pot as well and Zee was able to buy enough food to provide a three course Christmas meal to eight families.  In addition he was also able to provide Christmas stockings filled with gifts for the children in each family.

Mark Dooley from the Salvation Army took delivery of Cintra’s contribution last week and was delighted with their generosity.  Zee said: “Having once been on the receiving end of the generosity of others I think it’s important to give back and I make sure that I support as much as I can.  I am lucky that I work for an company where this attitude is encouraged and supported throughout the organization.”
