Cintra are very proud to be a part of Payroll week and supporting the great work that is carried out within our industry.
Taking place from the 5th – 9th September, the theme this year is ‘Making payroll shine’ focusing on adding a little sparkle to the profession. So this year, Cintra has decided to add a little sparkle to someone else’s life, by purchasing a pig! Yes a pig!
This year all money raised by Cintra will go to the Charity Coco. £200 can start up a small pig project for widows in Tanzania to help them to make money for themselves and their children. We have arranged a number of activities to help raise the money for the worthy cause, for instance, all employees are coming to work on Tuesday 6th September wearing sunhats, sunglasses and shorts to get in the spirit of Making Payroll Shine.
Cintra employees will also take to the stage in ‘The Cintra Bake Off’. Selected members of staff will compete in the baking challenge to see who will be crowned the ultimate baker. The team will bake from a choice of three categories Cakes, Pies and Pastries or Scones and Biscuits, whilst the rest of us will get the chance to contribute to the kitty and eat to our hearts content.
Cintra will be inviting all clients to contribute to this amazing cause and they will also get the chance to name the pig!
Laura Elliott, COCO’s Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator commented: “The Uwawayaki Women’s Group are a determined and enterprising group of women, many of whom are widows, who are committed to ensuring the children in their community receive an education and access to much needed healthcare. Having established the nursery school themselves they are aiming to ensure a sustainable future through schemes like pig rearing. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity, I know that we are all feeling the pinch but if everyone was to give £5 we could soon provide this community with a litter of piglets and a chance of a brighter future.”
