The Great Exhibition of the North is a three-month celebration of the North of England’s pioneering spirit and the impact of its inventors, artists and designers. The Northern Powerhouse Business Summit, part of the Great Exhibition of the North, taking place from 4 to 6 July is the first event of its kind ever to be held by government and is the central experience for businesses during the Exhibition. With an outstanding line up of speakers, workshops and showcases, businesses can expect to be inspired by stories of innovation from across industry. Cintra is delighted that its very own Director of Transformation, Lysa Morrison has been chosen to deliver one of these workshops.
The aging population is an increasingly pertinent subject, with many articles and events focussing on the challenges it brings. Lysa however will turn this on its head, focussing on the opportunities and benefits of tapping into this market as an ‘age smart’ employer. Lysa’s workshop will explore how businesses can see value in the older employee and the benefits of an age diverse workforce. It will look at the latest best practices in gender equality and how innovative HR policies can deliver benefits to a business. Participants will learn how SMEs can turn their workforce into brand ambassadors, without needing a large HR department.
