This week marks the annual celebration of all things payroll: National Payroll Week. In honour of this, Gateshead based Cintra HR & Payroll Services has organised a day of donating for its ever willing and generous staff: This time however staff are donating something you really can’t put a price on!
Inspired by Cintra Bureau Manager, Sheila Hughes, who recently received a gold award for her 50th blood donation, Cintra decided to encourage staff to donate blood in support of National Payroll Week. Aware of the vital role that donating blood plays, staff were keen to participate. Overwhelmed by the response, the local National Blood Service Donation Centre had to reserve a whole day for Cintra employees to visit and give blood, with transport to and fro over the course of the day organised by Cintra.
Staff unable to give blood were keen to support their colleagues and provided an array of breakfast butties and sweet treats throughout the day.
Commenting on his staff’s enthusiasm to participate and support, CEO Carsten Staehr said: “The team at Cintra make me proud on a daily basis. Hot on the heels of our fantastic team effort at the St. Oswald’s Kaleidoscope 5K, I am bowled over by how many staff signed up to take part in this fantastic initiative in support of National Payroll Week. Going that extra mile really is second nature to our staff and once again they have demonstrated their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty in support of others!”
Cintra were also kindly supported by GAP Signs who provided the branding for the Cintra blood bus!
