The national minimum wage has increased from 1st October 2011.
As well as the increase, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) will be publishing details of those employers who do not abide by the national minimum wage in an effort to name and shame those businesses. The government will also be publishing new guidance for employers to clarify the position of interns and work experience candidates – the guidance will be available at www.businesslink.gov.uk/nmw
