A 34 strong team of Cintra staff, family and friends were showered in a rainbow of powder paint as they ran, hopped, walked and skipped the course of the inaugural St.Oswald’s Hospice Kaleidoscope 5K at the weekend.

Turning out in force to support the event, the Cintra team boasted one of the youngest participants in the race, Sophie Lee, at 18 months: although strictly speaking the youngest competitor could well have been Sophie’s sister to be, as Sophie’s  Mam, Cintra Sales Manager, Nham Lee completed the course even though she is over 20 weeks pregnant!

“Its been an amazing day”, said Nham.  “The empasis really has been on having fun and its been fantastic to have taken part with so many colleagues and their family and friends. We’ve already topped our target of £1,000 and the donations are still coming in thick and fast.”

Participants were helped along by the carnival atmosphere on the day, with Smooth Radio warming everyone up at the start, a steel band and hundreds of volunteers who lined the route to cheer people on.

“We were delighted that so many people wanted to take part and Cintra was only too happy to fund the entry fee for all Cintra staff, family and friends” said CEO Carsten Staehr.  “I’ve absolutely loved being a part of today – Cintra staff work hard but they play hard too.  Its been fabulous to spend time together out of the office, not only having a good time, but helping to raise money for such a worthy cause too”.
