That was the title of the moving and inspiring finale at the annual Cintra HR & Payroll client conference, held in Newcastle last week.
HR and Payroll specialists from around the country gathered to hear the latest on major legislative changes affecting the industry this year, but were also truly uplifted by the Commando spirit of keynote speaker JJ Chalmers, whose story is a shining example of courage, determination, unselfishness and cheerfulness.
The Cintra HR & Payroll Services Annual Conference, hosted this year at the iconic BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, brought together industry experts to give Cintra clients the most up to the minute information and guidance possible.
In addition to a thorough presentation covering HR and payroll updates and a comprehensive contribution from HMRC, delegates were also given an insight into the power of motivation and how to build the foundation of ‘Shiny, Happy people’ from transformation guru, Lysa Morrison.
Delegates were also given the latest information and guidance in relation to GDPR from Helen Brain, Partner at regional award winning law firm, Square One law. Cintra CEO, Carsten Staehr outlined its plans for the future and showcased the latest enhancements to Cintra’s award winning flagship product, Cintra iQ.
Delegates included many of Cintra’s clients from around the UK and Europe, including major names, such as key London insurance brokers Hiscox Syndicates, together with many others from the Education, Housing and private sectors.
After a day of in depth presentations which gave delegates much food for thought, the conference ended on a high, with an inspiring and moving presentation from former Royal Marines Commando and Invictus athlete, JJ Chalmers, whose story truly embodied the Commando values of excellence, integrity and humility: An uplifting and emotional story which received a standing ovation.
Chris Tidy of Hiscox Syndicates commented: “Cintra’s conference is a diary highlight for me. The quality of the speakers is first rate: excellent coverage of important issues with much food for thought and a brilliant opportunity to meet other Cintra customers and staff. It just gets better every year!”
