Tim Harrison

Group Financial Controller

As Group Financial Controller, Tim is responsible for all finance-related activities that help the business run efficiently, from collection of revenue and payment of suppliers, to reporting information that supports key decision making.

Tim has worked in a broad number of sectors with a diverse set of responsibilities in accounting, internal audit and project management. He has 25 years’ managerial experience of small and large teams, always with the aim of providing a service using an optimal blend of resources.

Successful projects for Tim have included integration of central and eastern European finance teams to a single location, and successful absorption of a Dublin finance function into an existing team in Newcastle.

To develop and maintain a finance function that continually delivers excellent service to the business, and supports the future growth and success. To continually evolve with the business and develop a team that can anticipate and seize future opportunities.

Why Cintra?

Tim initially joined Cintra for just three months to ‘help out’, but he could see the direction the business was heading under the leadership, and he liked the ethos of the team. Tim says “it’s not often you get to join a business at this stage and have the opportunity to help it to grow and improve.”

Football has been a life-long passion for Tim and he played to a semi-professional level. He is  an ex-Guinness World Record holder for 5-a-side football. He enjoys most sports and prefers playing rather than watching.

Tim has three children who keep him busy, but he is happy seeing them do whatever makes them smile. Tim likes to travel and experience something different wherever he goes. He also has many other interests including painting, film, photography, and history.
