Wendy is part of the Cintra Implementation Team working as an Implementation Consultant.
How did you get into payroll?
When I first married my husband and moved into married quarters on Woodbridge Garrison (Suffolk), nearly 11 years ago, I took a cleaning job and within a month or so, a Manager asked me to look at a payroll system and help a lady who was struggling with the payroll. Within a few weeks, I was working full time in the role.
What’s your career path been like at Cintra?
I’ve only been in the one role as Implementation Consultant, and I am happy with my progression so far.
What do you love about your job?
That I am still closely involved with payroll but also have the system build/technical side of it as well.
What are you working on now?
I have almost completed my first SAAS education payroll and have several SOURCE payrolls ongoing.
What is your biggest achievement?
My two children.
What do you do in your spare time?
Plenty of days out and camping trips with the kids, and social events with friends and family.
What was the last book you read / film you watched?
The last series I completed was Stranger Things.
If you could do any job for a day, what would it be?
Interior Designer.
What Mr Men/Disney/Cartoon Character would best describe you?
Friends call me Dory (Finding Nemo).
What is your pet hate?
People chewing with their mouths open.
What’s your favourite place?
I don’t have a specific place but anywhere that is peaceful.
Tell us something we didn’t know about you?
I have a real issue with wool.. cotton wool, woolly jumpers.. I can’t touch them.
What’s the greatest bit of advice you’ve ever been given? and by who?
Debatable as to whether he actually quoted this, but it was attributed to Albert Einstein – “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
An established Implementation Consultant with the potential for broadening my knowledge and experience within Cintra. (In a larger house and having frequent holidays to Mexico would also be nice).
