PSSG donates £4,500 to 9 Sports Clubs

The Payroll Software and Services group are delighted to support the 9 female nationwide sports teams who were nominated by our colleagues. The initiative was inspired by the success of the England Women at the Euro 2022 Final.

The PSSG recently asked all our employees to nominate a female sports clubs to donate £500 to after the win by the England Women’s Football Team in the Euro 2022 Final. Our original plan was to select one club, however all 9 of clubs that were nominated were so amazing we decided to donate £500 to each of them!

These are the teams who received the donation.

The Berwick-upon-Tweed Wildcats

The Wildcats are a team of girls aged 5 – 11 under the Berwick Rangers Football club who have completed the ‘Weetabix Wildcats’ training course run by FA-Qualified coaches. They were nominated by Jennifer Wallace of Cintra. The Wildcats recently won the Northumberland FA Grassroots Project of the Year Award, and described the donation as ‘a brilliant second win’.

South Tyneside Jets

The South Tyneside Jets is a competitive cheerleading club who are open to all ages 4 and up. They were nominated by Ryan Shave from Cintra. The club let us know that they are in the process of opening up their own place and need equipment and that this will be a massive boost for them.

Consett AFC U15’s Chargers

The Consett AFC U15’s Chargers are a squad of 16 aged 14-15 year old girls who absolutely love everything about playing football. Many members of the team have been playing together since they were just 6 years old. The team were nominated for the donation by Phil Jefferson from Cintra. The team coach let us know that this donation came at the exact right time to get the girls the warm training clothes they need heading into the colder months. They explained that they usually organised bag packs and race nights to raise these funds however due to Covid they have been unable to for the last two years.

Basingstoke Town Bowling Club

Basingstoke Town Bowling Club has approximately 90 members of all ages and abilities, including social and life members. They were nominated by Tracy Thomas from Just Payroll Services (who also happens to be a member of the club!). The donation is going towards their kit for next year.

Holt United Youth FC

Holt United Youth FC are a Football Association Chartered community youth club providing football for all in the age groups 4 to 16. They offer training sessions and teams for all year groups with FA sponsored “Wildcats” sessions for girls, all led by FA qualified coaches. The club was nominated by John Bashford of Online Payrolls.

Northumberland Shield Maidens

The Northumberland Shield Rangers are a community full contact American Football Team for Women ages 16+. The club was nominated by Peter Nichol who works for Cintra.

Newcastle City Girls under 9s

The Newcastle City Girls under 9s are a team under the Newcastle City Juniors FC. They were nominated for this donation by Stephen Wilson of Cintra.

Great Park Netball Club

The Great Park Netball Club have over 100 juniors and around 90 senior players. They were nominated by Shaun Lowery who works for Cintra.
