Responsibilities
As Head of IT, Stephen is responsible for Cintra’s technology and security landscape, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and support the organisation’s operational needs. His role focuses on protecting sensitive payroll and HR data, maintaining reliable infrastructure, and enabling teams through well-governed, practical technology.
Experience
With over 20 years’ experience working in highly regulated environments, including the NHS and the legal sector, Stephen brings deep expertise in IT operations, security, and service delivery. His background spans cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, and business-critical systems, with a strong hands-on approach shaped by real-world operational demands.
Ambitions
Stephen is focused on strengthening Cintra’s security and resilience while reducing complexity for users. His ambition is to use automation and technology responsibly to improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and ensure IT remains a trusted enabler for the business.
About
Outside of work, Stephen is the Consort to the Deputy Mayor of South Tyneside and is proud to contribute to the local community. He is also the founder of Pride in Hebburn, which is now entering its third year, reflecting his ongoing commitment to inclusion, community engagement, and positive local impact.
