Cintra HR & Payroll Services is celebrating after being recognised at the National Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) Annual Excellence Awards, held in Birmingham last week.

The CIPP Awards are a true celebration of an amazing and sometimes underappreciated profession. With over 285 pieces of legislation impacting on the industry in the UK alone and over £446 billion collected through National Insurance and tax contributions, payroll and pensions play a significant role in the UK economy. The Awards herald the payroll and pension professionals who have made an outstanding contribution and demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their industry.

Shortlisted in two categories, Cintra is delighted that Bureau Administrator, Adam Ellison won Newcomer of the Year Award. Adam joined Cintra as an apprentice: a stage of his career that he passed with flying colours. Dedicated to pursuing a route in payroll profession, he continues his formal education, supported by Cintra. Also recognised at the awards was Cintra CEO, Carsten Staehr, who achieved one of the highest accolades, being awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the CIPP for his outstanding and unrelenting commitment to service excellence.

Although these two accolades recognize individuals they are representative of the culture of excellence and passion that has seen Cintra at the top of its profession for over a decade.

Cintra has enjoyed double digit growth for the past twelve years but is not an organisation to rest on its laurels, having recently outlined an ambitious ten year growth strategy which will see Cintra more than double its turnover. Nurturing young talent, such as Adam, across the business is key to Cintra’s long term growth plan.

Adam is delighted with the recognition: “My Team Leader was the one who suggested putting me forward for the award; a vote of confidence, which in itself made me immensely proud! I’ve learnt a tremendous amount from him, the rest of my team and other colleagues at Cintra, so really this is an award not just for me, but for all those who have helped me be the best that I can be. I’m absolutely over the moon.”

Cintra CEO Carsten Staehr said: “This is amazing news! We are so proud that Adam has been recognised for his outstanding attitude and exemplary work ethic. Clients love his professional, friendly approach – he has developed great relationships with clients and colleagues alike and he embodies everything we hold dear at Cintra.”

“For my part, I am humbled to have been awarded an Honorary Fellowship. I bang the drum of customer service, but it is the fact that the Cintra orchestra plays the same tune which makes my contribution so melodious.”
